Harley-Davidson has introducted its two new motorcycle models, called the Harley-Davidson XL1200V Seventy-Two and Harley-Davidson FLS Softail Slim.
The 2012 Harley-Davidson Seventy-Two (pictured above) channels the ’70s with mini-apes on a skinny frame and tires. However, the name of the bike has been taken from the legendary Route 72, the famous Whittier Boulevard cruising street in Los Angeles.
The 2012 Harley-Davidson Seventy-Two has a stainless steel mini-ape handlebar mounted on a 2-inch riser, skinny 21/16-inch wire-spoke chrome wheels shod with bias-ply Dunlop whitewalls, 2.1 gallons “peanut” gas tank, a handlebar-mounted speedometer with chrome cup, a chopped rear fender, chromed shorty dual exhaust pipes, solo seat with black textured vinyl cover, and so on. It is powered by 1200cc Fuel-injected, air-cooled, Evolution V-twin engine.
The 2012 Harley-Davidson Seventy-Two is available in 3 different colors: Black Denim, Big Blue Pearl (both are priced at $10,499) and Hard Candy Big Red Flake with period pinstripe details on fenders and fuel tank (+ $700).
While the new 2012 Harley-Davidson Softail Slim is powered by Harley’s counter-balanced Twin Cam 103B engine. The custom bobber-styled Slim features a 5.0-gallon Fat Bob fuel tank, chopped fender, narrow rear, a Hollywood bar featuring a wide bend an cross brace as well as comes equipped with a side-mount license plate holder and combined stoplight, turn signals and tail lights.
