2012 KTM 450 SX-F Factory Edition has been officially unveiled by KTM ahead of the 2012 AMA Supercross season and Ryan Dungey’s debut on the 450 SX-F at the AMA Supercross opener in Anaheim, CA (January 7th). Fyi, Ryan Dungey is multi-time AMA MX Champion, and the 2010 AMA Supercross Champion. This all-new 450-class motocross machine features new engine and chassis.

Designed to replace the aging 450 SX-F, the KTM 450 SX-F Factory Edition is powered by a fuel-injected 449cc single-cam, lightweight, four-stroke engine and is mated to a five-speed transmission with hydraulic operated single spring diaphragm clutch. The engine has Bore/Stroke 95mm/63.4mm- compared to the previous version’s 97mm x 60.8mm engine- and also features new Keihin 44 mm throttle body, newly designed single cam valve train, new piston and new crankshaft.

The chassis of this dirt bike new, featuring new orange powder-coated, black anodized triple clamp and one-piece cast swingarm with larger diamater axel. The KTM 450 SX-F Factory Edition also has aggressive new bodywork including front fender, number plate, radiator shrouds and airbox covers.

Other features include new fuel tank design, black Excel rims with machined hubs, black anodized Renthal Fat Bar with new KTM 827 bend, Red Bull KTM Factory SX Race Team graphics and racing seat, Orange Anodized Rear Sprocket and Dunlop MX51 tires.

The KTM 450 SX-F Factory Edition will be available at KTM dealerships this spring and will retail at a price of $9599.
