Bimota Australia has announced that two new premium bikes, the 2013 Bimota DB10 and DB10R Bimotards, are now available in Australia for $38,990 and $39,990, respectively.
The Bimota DB10 and DB10R Bimotards have been manufactured at Bimota’s Rimini factory in Italy, a medium-sized city where this small manufacturer of custom and production motorcycles was born. Based on the Company’s established streetfighter, both supermotard-styled bikes offer a perfect combination between the versatility of a motorand and the super performances offered by a sports bike.
The Bimota DB10 and DB10R Bimotards are powered by Ducati’s 1078cc EVO 90° L-twin four-valve fuel injected engine (the same as Ducati Hypermotard 1100) that offers an instant throttle response and generates 98hp at 7500 rpm and 105Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. The bikes have a maximum speed of 220 kmph.
The Bimotards feature a lightweight tubular chrome-molibdenum steel frame, carbon fibre bodywork, a long-travel suspension, dual Arrow exhausts, lightweight forged aluminium wheels, 13,5 litres fuel tank capacity. The bikes’s dry weight is 168kg, wheelbase is 1465mm, and seat height is 820mm.
The tri-coloured DB10 Bimotard comes with 50mm DLC-coated Marzocchi forks, while the DB10R Bimotard features TiN-coated 50mm Marzocchi forks and a clear-coated carbon finish with black anodised frame.
