The Swedish brand owned by KTM North America, Husaberg has has revealed its off-road motorcycle lineup for model year 2013, including the addition of the new Husaberg FE250.
Husaberg offers seven models, comprised of four 4-stroke variants (FE350, FE450, FE501 and new FE250) and three 2-stroke versions (TE125, TE250, TE300). Focusing on enduro, every singe detail of the new Husaberg motorcycles is designed for maximum rideability for Enduro competition and for offroad adventures out in the wild, featuring a new bodywork, seat and fuel tank, a new lighter swingarm, a new chromoly frame and a high-strength plastic subframe (fiberglass-reinforced polyamide). The 2013 Husaberg bikes also get new WP closed-cartridge fork with patented 4-chamber technology which ensures ultimate responsiveness and constant damping over the full suspension travel at a lower weight when compared to conventional closed-cartridge systems.
All models still come with plastic skidplates and are equipped with headlights and handguards.
2013 Husaberg 4-stroke models:
The all-new 2013 Husaberg FE 250 is the first Husaberg’s 250cc 4-stroke model. It sports fuel-injected DOHC engine with a 42mm Keihin throttle body and mated to a six-speed transmission. Other features include lightweight double-cradle Chromoly chassis with cross-linked polyethylene subframe, 48mm closed-cartridge WP fork, WP-PDS rear shock, Brembo brakes and clutch. The new Husaberg FE 250 has 2.5 gallons of fuel and weighs 236 pounds.
The 2013 Husaberg FE 350. Like the new Husaberg FE 250, the FE 350 is powered by an extremely fuel-injected compact DOHC unit and is equipped with a Keihin fuel injection system with a 42 mm throttle body, integrated temperature and altitude compensation.
The Husaberg FE 450 and FE 501 are powered by single cylinder, 4-stroke engine with 449.3 cc and 510.4cc displacement, respectively. By switching to a SOHC layout, the rotating mass is less as are the overall layout of the bike and lowers centre of gravity of the engine and bike, reduces intake noise, increases airbox capacity and eliminates undesired heat input onto the tank and airbox. While the rest of the Husaber models come with with titanium valves, the outlet valves of FE 450 and FE 501 models are made from steel.
2013 Husaberg 2-stroke models:
The 2013 Husaberg TE 125 is the perfect combination of maximum power and minimum weight in the smallest displacement class (124.8 cc). It is powered by single cylinder, 2-stroke engine mated to six transmission.
The 2013 Husaberg TE 250 is an established force in the E2 class, the most hotly contested class in enduro sport. It now offers a more lively power delivery and all new chassis, and its single cylinder, 2-stroke engine features the standard 6-speed transmission, new V-Force 4 reed valve block and electric starter.
The 2013 Husaberg TE 300 is described as 2-stroke madness. For 2013 model year, the TE 300 features new chassis with even more power and agility than ever before, as well as new V-Force 4 reed valve block for smoother power delivery.
All Husaberg engines, except for the unit of the TE 125, are equipped with reliable electric starters. Cooling system with fan is available as standard for all 4-stroke models.
