Valentino Rossi has made his first ever appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, in England. At the 23rd edition of the event, the Doctor rode his Yamaha YZR M1 competed with a special helmet, all of which was painted Yamaha’s special classic speedblock yellow-black livery to celebrate Yamaha’s 60th Anniversary. He was invited by Lord March himself.
Rossi rode his YZR M1 via the front door of Goodwood House into the entrance hall before appearing on the balcony with Lord March and Suzi Perry.
Other guests joined the event are Yamaha Motor Racing Managing Director, Lin Jarvis, and the motorcycle GP racing legends including Phil Read with his 1965 Yamaha RD56, Giacomo Agostini with 1975 Yamaha YZR500 OW23, and Kenny Roberts with his 1978 Yamaha YZR750 OW31.
