Succeeding the Honda CBR125, Honda has unveiled the 2015 all-new Honda CB125F in Europe, designed for those who are looking to purchase a small-displacement motorcycle.
The Honda CB125F is the successor of the Honda CBF125. The new model comes with an all-new styling taken from its bigger brothers, CB300 and CB500 models, and it also has been revised with a new engine and balancer shaft to reduce vibration, plus new chassis and six-spoke 18-inch wheels rather than the 17-inch rims found in the CBF125F.
The Honda CB125F is lower compared to the CBF125, with a seat height of 30.5 inches rather than the CBF125’s 30.5 inches. Rake and trail are set at 26° and 3.8 inches with wheelbase of 50,9 inches. Kerb weight is 282,1 pounds.
The 2015 Honda CB125F is powered by 124.7cc, air-cooled fuel-injected OHC 2-valve engine with 52.4mm bore x 57.8mm stoke and revised cylinder head. The engine is linked to a 5-speed gearbox, and has a total output of 10.5 hp at 7750 rpm and 8.3 lb-ft. at 6250 rpm (about 6% drop in power and 9% drop in torque than the old engine), but returns outstanding fuel economy of 149 mpg.
The 2015 Honda CB125F has a skinny bodywork, a multi-reflector headlamp, angular side fenders, 3.4-gallon fuel tank, and the new, aggressive instrument cluster. For suspension, the CB125F uses a 31mm telescopic fork and dual rear shocks with 5-step preload adjustability set-up.
Braking duties handled by a two-piston caliper with 240mm disc up front and a 130mm drum at the rear.
The 2015 Honda CB125F is available in Pearl Twinkle Yellow, Onyx Blue Metallic, Pearl Sunbeam White, and Candy Blazing Red. No word on pricing.
