At the 2014 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, MV Agusta has revealed the touring version of the MV Agusta Rivale, called the 2015 MV Agusta Stradale 800.
Although the 2015 Stradale 800 is built on a Rivale chassis, the wheelbase has been lengthened by 30mm to 1460mm, with the single-sided swingarm also longer than the Rivale’s for better straight-line stability and tractability, while the saddle height has been reduced by 10 mm to 870mm to enhance agility, cornering and rider ergonomics.
Moreover, the 2015 MV Agusta Stradale 800 gets an adjustable plexiglass windscreen, bigger fuel tank (4.2 gallons) and two side panniers as standard.
The 2015 MV Agusta Stradale 800 is a powered by the same 798cc three-cylinder engine, but the engine’s power has been reduced from the Rivale to 115 hp at 11,000 rpm, and it doesn’t come with the second generation of the MVICS (Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System). The torque is 57.8 lb-ft at 9000 rpm with the Sport Map setting.
For suspension, like the Rivale, the 2015 MV Agusta Stradale 800 is equipped with the same Marzocchi fork with adjustable compression, rebound damping and spring preload, and a fully adjustable Sachs monoshock, both with unchanged travel figures (150mm).
The 2015 MV Agusta Stradale 800 is available in three color schemes including Red/Silver, Pearl White/Aviation Grey, Bronze/Pearl White. In Europe, the sport-tourer is priced at €13,990. No word on US availability and pricing at the moment.
