The 2015 Ducati Scrambler model is not available yet, but soon! After several teasers, Ducati has finally unveiled the first official pictures of its long-waited retro-styled Scrambler, that will be available in four variants: Icon, Urban Enduro, Full Throttle and Classic.
“The Ducati Scrambler is a modern take on the iconic ‘60s -‘70s Scrambler.”
The new Ducati Scrambler is powered by water- and air-cooled, 803cc L-Twin two-valve Desmodue engine transplanted from the Monster 796 and the Hypermotard 796. The fuel-injected engine comes with an 88mm bore and 66mm stroke, and has been redesigned with a cam with 11 degrees of overlap for smooth acceleration throughout the rev range. It is mated to a 6-speed transmission and has a total output of 75 hp at 8250 rpm and 50.2 ft-lb. of torque at 5750 rpm, delivering excellent mileage.
The 2015 Ducati Scrambler model features a twin-spar steel trellis frame, a 56.9-inch wheelbase, wide handlebars, a 41mm upside down stanchion Kayaba front fork and a rear Kayaba monoshock with adjustable preload, a Brembo braking system, a two-channel Bosch ABS system, a 3.57-gallon fuel tank, a round LED headlight, and the single, round instrument gauge with a fully digital tach.
The 2015 Ducati Scrambler sits on 10-spoke aluminum wheels (a 18-inch up front and a 17-inch at rear) with a classical flat-track design, wrapped in Pirelli MT60 RS tires (a 110/80 ZR18 up front and a 180/55 ZR17 at rear).
The Scrambler Icon model is the base model, available in Yellow or Ducati Red colors. The Scrambler Urban Enduro adds headlight grill, high mudguard, handlebar cross-brace, “X” logo on its tank, spoked wheels, and comes in “Wild Green” paintjob.
The Scrambler Full Throttle model is designed for those that love flat-track racing. It gets “Deep Black” tank and seat with yellow-stripes, a Termignoni racing exhaust, and the light, ergonomic tapered handlebars. Meanwhile for Ducati Enthusiasts who want 1970s styling look and details, then you can choose the Classic model that comes with a brown leather seat with lozenge-patterned stitching.
