Suzuki Motor of America, Inc., (SMAI) has announced that the Company plans to unveil the 2015 model year of the retro-styled TU250X. Introduced to the North American market five years ago, the Suzuki TU250X will hit U.S. dealerships later this month (except California, because it has not been approved yet by CARB) and it will set you back $4,399 (the same as the 2013 model’s price). Fyi, California emission standards have been traditionally more stringent the EPA requirements.
The 2015 Suzuki TU250X remains unchanged from the 2013 model. It is still powered by the same 249cc air-cooled four-stroke, single-cylinder, SOHC engine with Suzuki’s Dual Throttle Valve fuel-injection and digital ignition. Furthermore, its exhaust system is outfitted with a catalytic converter and oxygen sensor feedback system reducing exhaust emission. Power sent via a smooth-shifting 5-speed transmission and delivered via chain to the bike’s rear wheel. Unfortunately, no word yet on its performance numbers, but Environmental Protection Agency has it at 18.8 hp at 7500 rpm.
The 2015 Suzuki TU250X uses a telescopic forks for the front suspension and twin shocks for the rear. Break systems handled by a single hydraulic disc with dual-piston calipers on the front and a drum on the rear.
Other features inlcude a low-slung chrome exhaust, a low 30.3 comfortable padded seat height, a 3.2-gallon fuel tank, a retro-styled round headlight, polished side cover, and so on.
Like the 2013 model, the 2015 Suzuki TU250X will be offered in Metallic Mystic Silver and Glass Sparkle Black.
