Yamaha has launched a new Yamaha XTZ150S Crosser designed specifically for Brazil. The 2014 Yamaha XTZ150S is an ethanol-powered dual-sport powered by the same 149cc single-cylinder air-cooled, fuel-injected engine with the Blue Flex system as the Fazer 150 BlueFlex, giving the bike the ability to run on gasoline, ethanol or the mix of both.
The engine with gasoline is capable of delivering 12.0 hp at 7500 rpm and 9.26 ft-lb. at 6000 rpm, but when fueled by ethanol, the engine offers a peak output of 12.2 hp and 9.33 ft-lb.
For suspension, the Yamaha XTZ150S is equipped with a telescopic fork and link-type Monocross suspension, which is a first in its class, and it receives on spoked 19-inch tyre at the front and 17-inch tyre at the rear. For breaking system, the XTZ150S crosser will be offered in two version, one with equipped with 130mm drum brake on the front wheel, the other verison with a 230mm disc. At rear, both versions feature a 130mm drum.
Other features include a 32.9-inch seat height, 3.2-gallon fuel tank, adjustable handlebar height, and a short beak-style fender under the headlight. The 2014 Yamaha XTZ150S Crosser has a dry weight of 264.6 pounds.
