The UK’s best selling scooter, Honda PCX125, is set to receive a number of upgrades inside an outside. As one of Europe’s top-selling scooters, Honda was knowledgeable and listened carefully to the customer’s needs. The Company claims that the PCX125 with its revised stylish looks will more fuel-efficient and features a long list of additional details than the last year’s model, “to facilitate life on the move in a busy city environment.”
Besides Honda PCX125, the larger capacity version of Europe’s favourite scooter Honda PCX150 also gets significant updates for 2014.
The 2104 Honda PCX125 and 2104 Honda PCX150 receive full LED lighting, a switch for hazard lights, an increased fuel tank, a 12v AC adaptor to the fairing compartment to power cell phones, GPS devices or other chargeable items, as well as a clock function has been added to the dash. Furthermore, the sooter’s battery is larger (from YTZ7S to YTZ8V), and its selectable Idling Stop function now has functionality to ‘read’ the battery charge and turns itself off to avoid excessive drain.
Both scooters are now even more fuel efficient thanks to the addition of low rolling resistance tires and further friction reduction within the engine. Fuel capacity of the 2014 Honda PCX125 and the 2014 Honda PCX150 have also been increased to 2.1 gallons (from 1.6 gallons) to help achieve a range of 217 miles for the 150 and 233 miles for the 125 (without Idling Stop) in single fill-up. The engine displacement of the 2014 Honda PCX150 is now 153 cc instead of 149 cc.
The 2014 Honda PCX125 and PCX150 will go on sale in the spring of 2014, available in Pearl Cool White, Pearl Nightstar Black, Moondust Silver Metallic, Pearl Siena Red, Matt Carbonium Grey Metallic and Pearl Havana Brown.
