Honda has revealed the 2014 model year of its Honda CB1100. For 2014, Honda has updated the retro-styled CB1100 with a six-speed gearbox, new instrumentation and turn signals as well as raised headlight position and Graphite Black paint scheme.
The 2014 Honda CB1100 is still powered by the same a 1140cc Inline-Four, DOHC engine as the 2013 model, but the engine now is mated to a six-speed gearbox instead of the previous version’s five-speed transmission. The new sixth gear is an overdrive that Honda says can reduce fuel consumption (18.5km/l @ WMTC) while delivering lower engine rpm at highway speeds. The engine features the efficient PGM-FI fuel injection and produces 8.5 hp at 7500 rpm and 68.6 ft-lb. at 5000 rpm.
The 2014 Honda CB1100 sits on the ‘Com-Star’-style cast aluminium 18-inch five-spoke wheels, and uses the 41mm conventional telescopic forks and the pair of Showa rear shocks – all of them are spring preload adjustable -, while the braking duties handled by twin 296mm front rotors with four-piston Nissin calipers and 256mm disc and a single two-piston rear caliper that grips a 256mm disc. Two channel ABS is standard for European models.
The CB1100’s instrumentation has been updated with a gear position indicator and fuel computer. In Europe, the 2014 Honda CB1100 comes with blacked-out detailing and will be available in a Graphite Black paint scheme. American Honda has yet to announce the 2014 model year of the CB1100.
A number of CB1100 Honda Genuine Accessories are available including heated grips, rear rack, front fork adjuster bolt (gold or silver), chrome meter cover, meter panel (gold or red), headlight case, a chrome shroud, chrome engine guard, chrome rear grip, new chrome rear carrier, and chrome look side panel.
