Last month at the Milipol exhibition in Paris, BMW Motorrad has unveiled the visionary authority version of its C Evolution electric scooter. The Milipol exhibition is only open to public and industrial security professionals, and it covers areas such as anti-terrorism, the prison service, forensic science, law enforcement, road safety, and so on.
The C Evolution in authority design is a police vehicle designed for use both in inner city and urban environments. Based on the C Evolution, which was presented a few months ago at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the police edition BMW C Evolution concept is powered by a liquid-cooled permanent magnet synchronous motor which delivers a continuous output of 15 hp and peak output of 47 hp. BMW claims the C Evolution can reach an electronically-limited top speed of 120 km/h (75 mph).
The C Evolution electric maxi-scooter features an 8 kWh battery housed in a die-cast aluminum casing, providing a range of 62 miles on a single charge. ABS is standard.
At the show, BMW has also presented the authority-specification of the BMW R1200RT, C 600 Scooter, F800GT and F700GS models, as well as its Airflow and Polizei 5 suits, and Airflow and Allround gloves and boots, plus the System 6 EVO helmet.
All the authority-specification models come with a special color scheme, a siren and additional switch.
