Ducati has unveiled a special edition model of its 1199 Panigale S superbike, called the 2014 Ducati 1199 Panigale S “Senna” Limited Edition. As its name suggest, the “Senna” Limited Edition is a tribute by Ducati to mark the 20 year death anniversary of Ayton Senna. Production of the 1199 Panigale S “Senna” will be limited to just 161 units only, which is coincidentally the same number of the amount of Grand Prix races in which the Brazilian race star competed.
The 2014 Ducati 1199 Panigale S “Senna” Limited Edition comes with a Senna-inspired color scheme. It is finished in grey and accented with red wheels. Each bike also features a racing exhaust system and an individual production number inscribed on the top fork clamp.
Unfortunatelly, the Ducati 1199 Panigale S “Senna” will only be sold in Senna’s home country of Brazil. No word on princing, but the bike is expected to land at dealerships in June of 2014. For Brazilians who want to see it, they can go to the Ducati stand of the TWO WHEELS Motorcycle Show in Sao Paulo, where the number 01/161 of the “Senna” limited edition version will be displayed alongside one of the original Ducati 916 Senna models.
