Kawasaki has refreshed its 998cc superbike, the Kawasaki ZX-10R Ninja, for 2014 with minor changes focusing on handling.
The 2014 Kawasaki ZX-10R Ninja features Firm’s Sport-Kawasaki Traction Control (S-KTRC) and is equipped with an electronic steering damper system with an amazing response map developed in cooperation with well known manufacturer of high-performance suspension systems, Öhlins. ABS is available as optional.
The new speed- and acceleration-sensitive steering damper by Öhlins joins Kawasaki ZX-10R’s high-end features including big-piston fork (BPF) at the front and Back-link suspension system, titanium-header exhaust system with hydroformed header pipes, bar-graph LED tachometer, slipper clutch, aluminum-alloy frame and swingarm, LCD instrument panel with two display modes: Standard and Race, 32-inch seat height, gravity-cast alloy wheels with a three-spoke design, 9-liter airbox, and dual catalyzers that help the superbike meet strict U.S. and Euro III exhaust emissions standards.
The 2014 Kawasaki ZX-10R Ninja is still powered by the same 998cc four-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC, four-valves per cylinder, inline-four engine mated to a six speed transmission with an adjustable back-torque limiting clutch.
The 2014 Kawasaki ZX-10R Ninja can be ordered with ABS for $15,299 (€11,495) or without ABS for $14,299 (€10,745). It is available in Lime Green/Flat Ebony and Pearl Flat Crystal White/Flat Ebony.
