2013 Honda CBR500R, CB500F and CB500X Now Available In Malaysia

The 2013 Honda CBR500R, CB500F and CB500X are now available in Malaysia. All these middleweight-class machines come with unique features which are designed to deliver plenty of performance to sport riders, with a fun combination of handling, racy excitement and everyday usability. Surely an excellent value for money based on the platform.

The 2013 CBR500R (pictured above) is one part of Honda’s all-new, three-machine 500 range. It is fully faired supersport designed for excitement and practicality, powered by a next generation 8-valve liquid-cooled twin-cylinder 471cc (Displacement) DOHC engine which provides 47hp at 8500 rpm and 32lb/ft of torque at 7,000rpm. The engine is also fitted with PGM-FI (Programmed Fuel-Injection) system and is linked to a six-speed transmission with sure shifts and easy clutch, directing power to the rear wheel via chain drive.

At 429 pounds, the all-new CBR500R features a full bodywork cowl with a lower seat height of 31-inch, lightweight cast aluminum wheels with Y-shaped spokes and 4.1 gallon fuel tank. For chassis, the 2013 CBR500R uses Pro-Link rear suspension with preload-adjuster that offers 4.7 inches of travel and 41mm telescopic front fork with 4.3 inches inches of travel, and the brakes are a single wave-style 320mm brake rotor in front. The ABS is available as option feature.

The 2013 Honda CBR500R is avaialble in three color options: Pearl Himalayas White, Graphite Black and Seal Silver Metallic. In Malaysia, the 2013 Honda CBR500R is priced at RM 28,588, while the 2013 Honda CBR500R ABS verison costs RM 31,888.

The 2013 Honda CB500F is naked Style machine with great performance and nimble maneuverability for urban joyride. The all-new Honda CB500F’s engine, chassis, brake systems are similar to the 2013 CBR500R.

The 2013 Honda CB500F comes in Pearl Himalayas White, Candy Ruby Red, and Graphite Black (ABS). In Malaysia, the naked Honda CB500F is avaialble for RM 28,288, while the ABS variant is priced at RM 31,388.

The 2013 Honda CB500X is an adventure-style middleweight motorcyle that suited for the spirited riders. The design of the 2013 Honda CB500X takes its cue from Honda’s 1200cc V4 Crosstourer. It has taller chassis, longer travel suspension, and a slightly longer wheelbase than the Fully faired CBR500R and the Naked Style CB500F. It also has a larger fuel tank of 17.3-litres.

Powered by the same engine as the other CB 500s, the 2013 Honda CB500X features diamond-shaped steel-tube mainframe, Pro-Link monoshock rear suspension with a 9-stage preload adjuster, and a 41mm telescopic front fork. a 810mm-seat with a space under it to store a U-lock.

The 2013 Honda CB500X practical and affordable adventure sports machine is available in three color options: Pearl Himalayas White, Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic and Candy Ruby Red. It is priced at RM 28,688, and RM 31,988 for the ABS version.
