Max Biaggi Tests Pirelli Angel GT Tires on Italian Aircraft Carrier

The six-time World Champion Max Biaggi has recently tested the new Pirelli Angel GT sport touring tire, for a unique braking test on a wet surface.

The test event took place on the the flight deck of an Italian Navy aircraft carrier called the Cavour, which is currently anchored in the Mediterranean Sea at the Marina Militare‘s  Taranto Naval base. The two-time World Superbike Champion tested the Angel GT sport touring tires – installed on the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 test bike – by hitting 65 mph (100 km/h) on the extreme wet Cavour’s 440-foot flight deck before grabbing the Kawasaki’s brakes hard at a pre-established braking spot.

Pirelli says the new Angel GT sport touring tire “substantially increases mileage, grip and handling in the wet” compared with its predecessor (the Angel ST), making it perfect for naked, super sport and touring motorcycles.

The new Pirelli Angel GT Tire is available in four front and 10 rear sizes.
