Zero Motorcycles has revealed its all-new 2013 Zero Police and Security line-up. Zero’s first police-spec motorcycle series which based on the Zero DS were successfully unveiled way back last year, then in 2013, the Company has decided to add a new variant based on the Zero S (Street) to meet the specific needs of a wide variety of patrol applications.
Both 2013 Zero S Police/Security and 2013 Zero DS Police/Security models are based on the all-new 2013 consumer variants, which according to the Company are 93% more powerful and 63% more torque than the 2012 models. Zero has not only provided both all-electric bikes for Police Department but also corporate security details as well.
Equipped with the ZF11.4 powerpack, the dual sport model has ability to travel 121 miles (city), or 74 miles (55 mph highway), on a single charge. Meanwhile, the Street variant is able to travel 132 miles (city), or 83 miles (55 mph highway). Also available with the ZF8.5 powerpack which provides less range compared to the ZF11.4 powerpack.
The 2013 Zero S and Zero DS police versions receive an emergency lighting harness, programmable Whelen siren with PA and microphones, front battery and frame protection bars, four-way emergency flasher system, as well as a headlight/taillight cut switch and harness. The bikes also can be had with two options lighting (forward, front, rear): red and blue LED lights for police and amber lights for security companies.

Both the Zero S Police/Security and Zero DS Police/Security versions with the ZF8.5 powerpack are priced at $17,945, or $19,945 if it’s equipped with the ZF11.4 powerpack.
