Honda NC700X and NC700S Arrive in Malaysia

The new Honda NC700 Series are finally available in Malaysia.

Mr Satoshi Okada, Managing Director and Chief Executive Offcer of Boon Siew Honda, the distributor and assembler of Honda motorbikes says the NC700 series – which consists of NC700X, NC700S and Integra (NC700D) “reflects the company’s effort to introduce new categories of riding excitement to the local market, namely Naked Style, Fun-crossover and Mid Concept”

The Honda NC700X

The Honda NC700X is a crossover bike that comes with easy handling characteristics and aspirated performance, making the Honda NC700X a joy to ride for both newbie and experienced riders alike.

The Honda NC700X is powered by aliquid-cooled, in-line 2-cylinder 670cc engine with PGM-FI fuel injection system and stoichiometric analysis that help reduce fuel consumption. The new Honda NC700X can be had with either a manual 6-speed transmission or Honda’s second generation Dual Clutch Transmission with two automatic modes: S for sporty riding and D for everyday use. For safety, the bike is fitted with Combined Anti-lock Braking System (C-ABS) that has full antilock functionality – optional.

In Malaysia, the crossover NC700X comes in Darkness Black Metallic, Digital Silver Metallic, Pearl Sunbeam White and Magna Red. The base model is priced at RM 53,988, while the ABS with DCT version is RM62,088.

The Honda NC700S

The Honda NC700S is a ‘New Concept Fun Naked’ model aimed for sophisticated thrill seekers. Powered by a liquid-cooled, in-line 2-cylinder 670cc engine with PGM-FI fuel injection system and stoichiometric calculation, the NC700S has a peak power output of 35.0kW at 6,250rpm and 60.0 Nm of peak torque at 4,750rpm, and Fuel effciency of 27.9km per litre  (Dual Clutch Transmission type, tested in WMTC Mode).

The Honda NC700S is available with both Honda’s antilock Combined Braking System (C-ABS) and the option of the second generation of Honda’s Dual Clutch Transmission.

Visually, the NC700S fuses striking, futuristic design. It uses steel diamond frame, geometry setup, low seat position, digitalmulti-function instrument display, and sits on lightweight 17-inch cast aluminium wheels wrapped in broad radial tyres (front 120/70, rear 160/60).

In Malaysia, the Fun Naked NC700S is available in Seal Silver Metallic, Pearl Sunbeam White and Graphite Black. Price for the base model is RM49,888, while the ABS with DCT version is available for RM58,088.
