Yamaha has unveiled the 2013 model year of its naked middleweight roadster, the Yamaha FZ8. For 2013, the Yamaha FZ8 receives a handful of updates, including a new exhaust muffler for a more comtemporary appearance, revised EFI programming, an adjustable rear shock for rebound damping, and a fully adjustable front forks.
The 2013 Yamaha FZ8 also comes with two-piece seat made of a new, “higher quality” material. Moreover, the top of the saddle features a textured surface.
The 2013 Yamaha FZ8 still boasts the same fuel-injected 779cc liquid-cooled, DOHC, 16-valve inline-four engine found on previous model. The engine is mated to a close-ratio 6-speed gearbox, and has bits like forged aluminum pistons, fracture-split carburized connecting rods and ceramic-composite-plated cylinders.
The 2013 Yamaha FZ8 sits on 5-spoke cast aluminum wheels wrapped in 120/70 (front) and 180/55 (rear) ZR-rated radials, and features cast aluminium chassis, die-cast aluminium swingarm as well as twin 320mm brake discs at the front with monobloc 4-piston calipers.
The 2013 Yamaha FZ8 will hit dealerships in February next year.
