Honda has officially released the full specifications for its upcoming 250-cc on/off-road model, the CRF250L.
Under the slogan, “New On & Off Gear, your right buddy on the road’ to make ‘On’ (daily life) more convenient and ‘Off’ (weekends) more enjoyable,” the 2012 Honda CRF250L is powered by a liquid-cooled 250-cc 4-stroke DOHC single-cylinder engine with 23hp at 8500rpm and 16 ft-lb. at 7000rpm. The engine maintains the same 76mm bore, 55mm stroke and 10.7:1 compression ratio, and is mated to 6 gearbox.
The 2012 Honda CRF250L comes with a newly-designed frame to offer the rider a nimble ride while ensuring both agility and stability, which perfect for a wide range of riding environments from urban to off road riding. Its inverted front suspension employs a Separate Function Front Fork with an inner tube diameter of 43 mm and a cushion stroke of 250 mm in a design, while the Pro-Link rear suspension offers 240mm of travel.
The 2012 Honda CRF250L has sharp and aggressive look thanks to the concept of “centralized mass with triangular proportions,” a key feature and basic principle of Honda’s CRF motocrosser series. Other features include the muffler cover and tool box, a multifunctional digital meter, cargo hooks on the rear fender, a headlight visor, fuel tank with a capacity of 7.7 liters, as well as skid plates that prevent mud, flying gravel, and other elements
.from damaging the engine.
The Honda CRF250L will comes in Extreme Red or Ross White color, and it will available in Japan in May and Europe in the summer. Unfortunetelly, North American availability hasn’t officially been announced.
