Along with the 2016 YZF-R1 60th Anniversary Edition, Yamaha has also revealed the 2016 model year of the Yamaha YZF-R1M. The Yamaha YZF-R1M, which was first unveiled last year, is a race-oriented version of the R1, and it comes with even higher factory specification. It is aimed at professional teams and experienced riders.
Compared to the basic model, the 2016 Yamaha YZF-R1M features carbonfibre bodywork, and a range of sophisticated equipment including Öhlins Electronic Racing Suspension (ERS), and a communication control unit (CCU) with GPS that complemented the impressive electronic package of the R1, allowing you to look at lap times and other running data on an Android-based tablet.
Like last year’s model, production of the 2016 Yamaha YZF-R1M will be limited, and it will be available exclusively via online application, with online customer registration opens on October 1st. So you better get ready.
