Honda has launched the 2015 model year of its premium adventure sports tourer, the VFR800X Crossrunner. For 2015, the VFR800X Crossrunner gets major upgrades including a greater boost in power and torque.
Technically, the 2015 Honda VFR800X Crossrunner is still powered by the same 800cc VTEC-equipped 90° V4 DOHC 16 valve engine as the previous model, however, the engine has been upgraded and now offers increased low and mid-range torque as well as increased peak power of 106Hp (53 more than last year), delivered at 10250rpm.
The 2015 VFR800X Crossrunner also gets styling updates -sharper looks all round-, and an aluminium twin-beam frame with a lighter, revised subframe and new aluminium swingarm. The Suspension has longer travel: now 25mm for the forks and 23mm for the rear shock. Its 17-inch front wheel now is hollow-cast aluminium and is fitted with dual 310mm discs that worked by radial-mount 4-piston calipers. ABS comes as standard. The front and rear wheels are wrapped in 120mm and 180mm-wide tires, respectively.
Other features include LED lights, 5-stage heated grips, an adjustable seat, self-canceling turn signals, and a Selectable Torque Control System (S-TCS) with two levels of control.
The 2015 Honda VFR800X Crossrunner will hit the European dealerships in early December. No word on pricing.
