Yamaha has recently announced that the Company will make its popular MT-07 available in Canada, under the moniker 2015 Yamaha FZ-07.
“Designed to provide deep, powerful torque in the most frequently used rpm range”, the 2015 Yamaha FZ-07 naked sports bike is powered by all-new, liquid-cooled, 689cc, parallel-Twin engine with a 38mm Mikuni throttle body fuel injection system and the 270 degree “Crossplane Concept” CP2 crank to provide easy to use linear throttle response and reduced inertial torque. As the result, the all-new engine that is mated to an all-new 6-speed transmission can deliver 75 hp at 9,000 rpm and 50.2 ft.-lbs. at 6,500 rpm. The engine also features new air box design and new, lightweight, vertical flow flat radiator design.
The all-new 2015 Yamaha FZ-07 features new diamond-type backbone steel frame, new single multi-reflector 60/55 watt halogen headlight, 31.7-inch seat, 3.7-gallon fuel tank with a slim design, an all-digital LCD display, a new handlebar switchgear design and upright riding position, as well as adjustable brake lever.
Suspension and breaking are composed of 41mm conventional style fork and adjustable link-type Monocross rear suspension, and dual 282mm floating wave-style front discs that is squeezed by Advic and a single-piston Nissin caliper that grips the 245mm rear disc. Both suspension offers 130mm (5.1 inches) of travel.
The 2015 Yamaha FZ-07 will hit Canadian showrooms starting in June, with a price of CN$7,299. It will be offered in in three color options: Matte Metallic Gray, Bluish White and Vivid Red.
