2013 Vespa LX 150 Apple Edition Unveiled in Malaysia

Malaysian Vespa big fans, here is a good news for you. NAZA Premira Sdn Bhd has recently revealed the limited edition of the Vespa LX 150 scooter, called the Vespa LX 150 Apple Edition. In Malaysia, the Vespa Apple Edition is limited to only 168 units, and each is priced at RM11,388.00 (On the road).

The 2013 Vespa LX 150 Apple Edition is named after Company’s memorable 1969 advertising campaign that was used to promote the Vespa brand in Italy, with “Chi Vespa mangia le mele” which means “If you ride a Vespa, you take a bite out of the apple”. That is why the Apple Edition comes with bitten apple graphics, along with new two-tone coloured saddle, and the white and red finishing that creates a unique minimalist design.

The apple symbolises “health, youth, summer fun and a ‘forbidden fruit’ of paradise – one that is attractive, nourishing and wanted by many.”

Mechanically, the 2013 Vespa LX 150 Apple Edition is based on the 2013 Vespa LX 150. It is powered by the same air-cooled 150 cc four-stroke SOHC single-cylinder engine mated to an automatic gearbox, delivering 11.66 hp at 7,750 rpm and 11.5 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. This stylish-110kg scooter has a top speed of 95 km/h.

Malaysia is the second country after Vietnam to introduce the Vespa LX 150 Apple Limited Edition.
