2012 Kawasaki Ninja 650R Review

The Kawasaki Ninja 650R is also known the Kawasaki ER-6f (in Europe, which “f” denoting faired) version of the ER-6, while its un-faired sister model is called the ER-6n.

The new 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 650R /faired ER-6 bring fun and convenience to the masses. For 2012 model, the practical sportbike gets a totally new perimeter-style frame, revised suspension, more angular bodywork, new instrumentation, improved engine performance, a more comfortable saddle, lower seat height and much more.

All-new double-pipe perimeter-style frame is a key component of the ER-6f´s identity and double-pipe design of the new frame is made from high-tensile steel, contributes to the bike’s lightweight appearance. This Kawasaki’s user-friendly middleweight sports-tourer also has new fairing, headlight design and more stylish with new headlight assembly and sharper body work.

Other features include a 20mm wider handlebar than the previous version, sporty looking tandem seat with thick cushioning, new instruments panel with multi-function dual-window LCD screen that use white LED backlights for excellent visibility at night and features remaining range, average/instant fuel consumption and the Economical Riding Indicator, Euro-III Compliant, 20 mm taller fuel tank that up 0.1-gallon from last year ( Total Fuel capacity now is 4.2 gallons), and smaller battery size.

2012 Kawasaki Ninja 650R /faired ER-6 is powered by an advanced, highly compact, liquid-cooled 649cc parallel Twin, 4-Stroke, 4-Valve, delivering 53 kW at 8,500 rpm and 64 N.m of torque at 7,000 rpm. The bike is supported by DOHC system, 10,8:1 compression ratio and the Bore x Stroke: 83 x 60 mm, as well as,, using 38mm throttle bodies and sub-throttle assemblies for optimum response and precise fueling and is also equipped with TCBI with Electronic Advance Ignition System. The power from the 649cc engine to the rear wheels is transmitted using the 6-Speed transmission system and o-ring Chain as the Final Drive.
